About Us.
A creative and collaborative studio space welcoming artists at all stages of their journey.
Old City Studio is the latest project from friends Paul and Rhys, whose shared passion for live music and local artists has led them into many areas of the industry over the years. Together they have 20+ years’ experience spanning the live sector, recording, photography and promoting, and they passionately embark on this latest project in support of Bristol’s music scene.
OCS is intended to be a creative and collaborative space for artists to come together and make music. Endorsed by the Donut Filler Jam Collective and next door to the well established live music venue Mr Wolfs, OCS is situated right in the heart of Bristol’s action.

The space has a wonderful versatility - from rehearsing to recording, you'll find yourself immersed in the work you do. Easy to get to, plenty of gear at your disposal, and a GREAT value for money - if you need to use a studio, use this one! The Dead Royals Music2025-06-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have been rehearsing there with our band to prepare our EP recording, we had the best time! A brand new studio, with a stylish wooden floor, amazing atmosphere, great music gear and AC which is very handy when you play intense rock music! Would recommend it too all bands! :) Oliver Slocombe Poole2025-06-08Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I love the vibe of this place, it feels like a proper modern studio with a great old school aesthetic and some awesome gear. The in house drum kit is mint! Theres a prophet and Rhodes as well as a nice upright piano. And the guitar amps are fantastic. Need I say more? I would highly recommend this spot for anything from rehearsal to mixing to videos. Happy jamming :) Christopher Mardon2025-06-08Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hired OCS plus their sound engineer for a 360 video set recording and the output was fantastic. Awesome guys to work with, very professional. Will certainly be returning! Wonderful intimate space with excellent sound quality and first class equipment. The people who run the studio are super friendly and welcoming. The engineers are knowledgable and supportive. I have recorded there and seen the results of other people's sessions and have been wildly impressed every time. Louis Masseron2025-06-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I use Old City Studio for recording, teaching, and the loud ugly bits of saxophone practise (the horrible stuff that the neighbours shouldn't have to hear), and the space is absolutely perfect. Incredible recording hardware (and a list of top notch engineers who can be hired to run the session), all for very reasonable rates, whilst also having a comfortable and cosy vibe for teaching and practising. Definitely recommend. Don Kennedy2025-06-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely amazing space, and the team could not have been better.
